Stash has announced it is rolling out new features for its 3 million users; the app will now allow users to round-up daily purchases to the nearest dollar and automatically add the difference to their personal investment accounts; this is similar to the core offering of Acorns; the other feature they are adding is called “Smart-Stash”, this service uses algorithms to learn about users’ spending patterns and saves money where they can; customers can also earn bonus rewards on everyday purchases; Stash allows users to open an investment account with as little as $5.
