Uber is working towards offering more financial products hiring dozens of employees in New York; sources say that the team may eventually surpass 100 workers as they build out a financial ecosystem; Uber currently has 93 million active users globally which shows just how much potential there is as they innovate in payments and lending; one area they are looking at is payments experiences which would remove costs from the system and the other area is helping their contractors manage their money which is already made possible through Uber Cash; others are speculating an Uber bank account which some argue is further off.
