Biometrics Startup BioCatch Raises $145 Million

BioCatch tracks the behavior of users on websites to gauge whether they are a real customer or a fraudster; they count more than 40 of the largest financial institutions as customers; Bain Capital Tech Opportunities is leading the $145 million round with participation from American Express Ventures, Maverick Ventures, and OurCrowd; the company plans to use the funds for research and development and sales and marketing to reach new markets outside of financial services.
