Fintech is One of the Hottest Jobs Markets

Fintech has quickly become one of the hottest markets in the world and the average salary is now more than $113,000 per year; McKenna Quint, Head of People at Plaid, spoke to Business Insider about three tips that newcomers can use to help land a fintech job; “I think this is a great time,” Quint said. “Companies have certainly made adjustments to their hiring priorities, but we’re starting to see some companies post more roles.”; your undergraduate major is not a deciding factor on a role within a company, Plaid for example has opera singers as engineers; identify roles and companies that are a right fit, especially in terms of cultural values; market yourself during recruiting, Quint calls it build and then Broadcast; LendIt Fintech has a jobs board featuring the latest openings across the industry.
