Nubank has acquired US software consulting firm Cognitect in its first acquisition outside of Brazil; the world’s largest digital bank, with 26 million customers, has been using Cognitect’s services since 2014; Edward Wible, Nubank’s chief technology officer and co-founder, said, “At our current scale, there’s so much at stake that we thought we needed a different level of access to one of our most important technology partners.”; Nubank uses Cognitect’s programming and database tools; the company has 20 employees who will all join Nubank; the deal will also give Nubank an edge in hiring American engineers now that so many people are working from home.
