Starling Bank has already raised £100mn this year and is eyeing an additional round of capital through the Banking Competition Remedies (BCR); the fintech can receive one of the two grants, either £35mn and £25mn; Anne Boden, CEO and Founder of Starling Bank, told Yahoo Finance: “We are doing well and therefore we believe it’s in the interest of competition in the UK for us to be given an additional grant of £35mn in order for us to be competitive in new sectors of SMEs.”; the company said the funds will be used to build on their small business offering.
