T-Mobile Making a Big Push Into Banking

T-Mobile is officially getting into banking with a big nationwide push to sign up customers for no-fee checking accounts; you don’t have to be a T-Mobile customer to sign up for a T-Mobile Money account which comes with with no monthly fees, overdraft fees, ATM fees or other charges; T-Mobile is partnering with BankMobile, a digital bank that launched in 2015, to offer bank accounts; they are currently paying 4% on balances up to $3,000; a pilot program began in November when T-Mobile released its mobile banking app for iOS and Android and now they will be marketing this program widely, online and in T-Mobile retail stores.
