Australian Challenger Bank Xinja Raises $260mn

Australian based digital bank Xinja has raised a massive $260mn investment round from Dubai-based investor Emirates World Investments; Eric Wilson, CEO and founder of Xinja, said to AltFi: “We know that this is a very difficult time for Australia and the world, and considering the health crisis we are all facing, this is not a time to celebrate. I believe Xinja’s mission to help Australians make more of their money is going to be even more important in the coming year.”; the company will receive almost $100mn immediately, with the remaining investment occurring over the next two years; Xinja has more than 45,000 accounts with $270mn in deposits so far.
