The bank partner model has been around for decades but it has expanded rapidly in the last few years; leading Silicon Valley vc firm Andreessen Horowitz provides an analysis of this market listing the banks choosing to partner with fintechs; they claim there are more than 30 banks doing so today ranging from banking behemoth Goldman Sachs down to tiny community bank Hatch Bank; it charts the return on equity and return on assets for these banks and describes the different categories they operate in and the leading banks in each, along with their major fintech partners; there is an accompanying report that can be downloaded showing each bank, their assets and their fintech partners.
