Crypto enthusiasts hope the project can launch digital currency into the mainstream even if the current version is not decentralized; the project will ultimately get there but right now the plans are to have the consortium validate transactions which will help it to operate and scale up faster; some believe the project is one of the most invasive forms of surveillance, pointing to the the purist anger; “It’s definitely going to push it further into the mainstream.
