American Banker takes a look at 6 ways payments has become a prominent theme during the Super Bowl; pizza chains are seeing more than half of their orders come in via digital channels; local restaurants and beer companies have started using APIs to help connect customers; Uber looks to capitalize on the losing team’s fans drinking more by offering specials called the unhappy hour after the game; Visa has been promoting contactless and mobile payments for many years, at this year’s game they want to help reach the point of a cashless stadium with checkout points all over the stadium.
