Revolut has launched a brand new app called Revolut Junior; it is a personal finance app for those between 7-17 years old; accounts are opened by a parent or guardian that is already using Revolut; the service currently requires a Premium or Metal Revolut account which comes with monthly service fees; Aurelien Guichard, product owner for Revolut Junior stated, “Conversations about money typically start at home and we believe these skills are gained little by little, through experience and with help of parents and guardians”; with the move Revolut now competes with others in this space including Osper and GoHenry, both of which are offered at a lower cost; however other competitors such as Monzo and Starling have yet to offer a similar product.
