Digital bank Aspiration has created a new spend & save account which is similar to a high yield checking account; the new account will offer 2 percent APY on deposits and be insured up to $250,000; the company also says the new account is focused on deposits being fossil fuel free; Aspiration has created an internal score for companies where customers shop, the score combines what they call a people and a planet score; they look at more than 75,000 data points through this algorithm, Target and Apple both rate highly on the Aspiration score.
